When it comes to eating, consider the different needs of each of your body's constituent parts.

Benefits: Selenium and zinc are both needed for immune function. Chicken soup has an anti-inflammatory effect, keeps you hydrated and thins mucus.




Ginger

Benefits: Ginger has a warming, stimulant effect on the circulation, which helps dislodge phlegm. Iron and vitamin C boost energy and aid neurotransmitter function, as do the B vitamins and folic acid.
